Warning: you might hate me by the end of this blog.
The conference was held at the Grand Lakes Resort. While Carlin was in meetings all day I sat at the pool (with a lazy river), with books, sunscreen, and a pool boy. ;) Just kidding about the pool boy, but the staff did come by asking if you needed anything. I literally sat at the pool all day while the staff brought me drinks and food, it was glorious.

In the evenings, Carlin would join me in the hot tub, or playing checkers.

We sat on a couch in the lounge area and ate sushi.
After the conference, we had an afternoon to ourselves before flying back home. We couldn't resist, we were in Orlando and it was so close and the hotel offered complimentary shuttle rides to Universal Studios. So, we went to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter.
Seriously, everything I had pictured it to be. The Forbidden Journey ride was amazing, just to stand in the line was an adventure. You start out in the dungeons of Hogwarts, then you make your way through the green houses, into the castle itself, through Dumbledore's office, Professor Binn's classroom and then to the ride itself which starts in the Room of Requirements. We had butterbeer which was beyond explanation and pumpkin juice. We didn't go into any of the shops, it was too busy and way too hot. We decided we would just need to come back at a later time.

Yep, it was wonderful and relaxing. If I could I would send all my friends out there and watch your kids for you, just so you could have some much needed time with your husbands and rejuvenate yourself.
